Mike W. just pointed out that on the new U2 song “Vertigo” Bono counts 1, 2, 3, 14 in Spanish. We should be looking for quattro.

see i thought that at first but then i came to the conclusion that he is actually saying 11, 12, 13, 14 in French (onze douze treize quatorze), not that i had a justifiable reason for it, but that was my solution…although, maybe he was just drunk like one of the posters suggests on the link you gave.

It might be so he just thought it sounded cool. ”
Other sites list the lyrics as the numbers would be “en espanol” not in french. I wondered about the same thing myself and was just makng jokes to my roomie the other day about that.
