I’m excited about the Wilco show, I got 20 tickets, ten in the 5th row and ten in the 7th row. Very cool. I’m posting a link to a couple songs, one is a new one that they are playing on tour, and another is Jeff Tweedy solo at the show I was at last spring, he’s singing Sunken Treasure which is my favorite Wilco song.

I’m sorry I haven’t blogged in a while. Things have been crazy. I haven’t even had time to post any updates until now.
Last weekend I was up north at Timber Wolf Lake Camp serving at a family retreat for the Granger family of Lansing. They own a container/recyling and energy company and are pretty well known in the area.  They are also very Godly, servant type of people and getting to know them over the weekend and serve them was a pleasure. Very cool.
Yesterday I led worship at a Lansing Christian School, faculty retreat in Leslie. It was cool getting to know some of the teacher there and making that connection.
I’m also going down to Kentucky next month with Noel to visit the Internet Monk and lead worship at his school that he leads. Should be a good time. The Internet Monk is a very popular emerging Christian blogger type. He is very insightful and pretty balence, but often controversial, check out his site
So, thanks to my friend Don and his friends Vic and Grant at MSU, I was able to hook up 20 tickets for Wilco. Ten on the 7th row, ten on the 5th. Will be a great show no doubt.
That’s all for now. I will probably be too busy to really update a lot over the next month, things are cranking here and my priorities are elsewhere. I will be back when I get more time.

I gave my computer an enema yesterday and have over 30 gigs of free space now on my computer. I had a software bug that was screwing up my email lately, so we reinstalled my OS. Now I need to put my music back on the hard drive.
In other news we won our last softball game of the year with only nine players (no second baseman) and it was against the first place team. Good ending!

Ready to sign up for church? It’s an amazing place and here are some of the benefits:
Had enough yet? There are so many reasons to sleep in on Sunday mornings, but you should really, really listen to Noel’s message he gave a couple weeks ago. It’s really worth your 35 minutes.
I also believe there is so much good and potential in church (at least the community I belong to).

So it feels like we live in Miami now a days. I believe in global warming because I can’t remember this many consecutive days of butt sweat heat since reading Dante’s Inferno in high school. We have had one small air conditioner in our house that I have been moving daily from our bedroom to the living room and back again, which wouldn’t be too bad if the air conditioner itself were slightly stronger than me blowing on my hot pizza to avoid mouth burn.
Anyway, someone in our church somehow figured out that we were never home becuase of frequent field trips to the library or the grocery store or any place that would let us sit in the air conditioning for a few hours. So they decided to buy us another air conditioner out of the goodness of their heart. While we tried to politly refuse because “we really like the library… alot”. They insisted and were blessed to give us a new one. Amazing.
Sometimes I read Acts 2 and feel like that was so long ago. Nobody shares anymore. That community living selflessly for each other was basically high school summer camp where we are on a spiritual high because we just saw Jesus and now we’ve gotten past that. We are in Corinth hanging out with the selfish people all fighting over church style or in galatia, fighting over circumcision.
But then someone comes along and gives you some grace and you are reminded of the heart of God. He is good, and that makes me want to do better than I have.
