Mark 14:51-52
“51 And a young man followed him, with nothing but a linen cloth about his body. And they seized him, 52 but he left the linen cloth and ran away naked.”
What the heck?

Last night the “Difficulty”, one of the bands I play in at church, opened for the Violet Burning at Riverview and I think it went pretty well. For pics check out www.brettmaxwell.blogspot.com.
Right now I’m playing with Folksplosion, very fun stuff. Weird going from indi/weird to folk/gospel. But very fun.

So, I played in a charity basketball game, Riverview vs. Trinity, yesterday and it made the local news, although I wasn’t on the court in the clip. We lost, but it was fun.

Great post by Todd Rhodes at mondaymorninginsight.com (which is an amazing resource for church leaders by the way) on how some leaders (cough… Dobson cough… Robertson… cough…) try to speak for us. That’s a bad thing. But a funny post. Check it out.

Congrats to Brett and Franny for becoming an item and for making Ross look really uncomfortable.

My friends Laura and Brandon, who I play with in Folksplosion have just finished recording and mixing their new album and I got a sneak peek today. The songs are beautiful, spiritual songs. “Living The Kingdom Life” starts off with barely a guitar and a whisper, but builds into a crescendo of harmony and piano and then even a choir (of which I was honored to be a part of).  These folk/gospel songs have the maturity and grit to fit in perfectly on a Paste sampler. There songs range from waltzes about loneliness to Dylanesque spritituals to prayerful ballads. I think the release date for the record is sometime in early May. For now you can preview four songs ontheir Myspace
