Noel posted about Brandon’s Baptism and I just wanted to repost what he wrote and show the pics.

Last night, my friend Brandon got baptized. It was an awesome experience because it was intensely personal.

The location was intensely personal.
The baptism took place in his dad’s pond, in a beautifully landscaped and yet very natural looking setting. Brandon places a high value on caring for the Earth, and there was no better place than this. (Not to mention the fact that we drank organic juice out of biodegradable glasses made out of corn.)

The words spoken were intensely personal.
From Brandon’s words about what Jesus has done in his life to Dan’s words about what Jesus has done for all of us in general and Brandon in particular, the message spoke of a very personal God.

The crowd was intensely personal.
There were a lot of people there, and their only common connection point was Brandon. Christians and non-Christians, family and friends, different generations–everyone who was there was personally invited by Brandon because they mean something to him.

Baptisms are always cool. This one was one of the best I have ever witnessed.

Brandon is an amazing friend who has a love for God and a love for God’s creation. It was really cool being a part of this symbolic event in his life.
