She was born yesterday at 7:20pm. She weighs 6 pounds 8 ounces and is 18 inches long. She and her mother are doing well!
Schedule

Here’s our schedule for the next couple of days:
Today: Meetings in the morning to the early afternoon. Rehearsal and dinner in the evening.
Tomorrow: Since Feburary 29th doesn’t usually exist I’m hoping my productivity at work really shows at the end of their year, hopefully my report will say something like “Dan really got at least an extra days work this year.” Or something like that. Also, little detail, Will and Monaca’s wedding.
Saturday: Get up in the morning, pick up Jeremy and Kristen. Drive to Akron, Ohio. Stop in and see the family. Drive with everyone to Swensons. Go see the Avett Brothers at the Kent Stage. Drive back to Mom’s. Watch Wilco on SNL (yes it will feel like my birfday). Sleep. Get up. Drive home. Set up for Merge. Listen to Theme and Variation. Listen to James’s teaching etc…
Next week: Have a baby.
Hopefully that last thing won’t happen before the weekend is over. Otherwise, Jeremy and I may be delivering a baby on the side of the highway. And by “Jeremy and I” I really mean “Kristen.”
Break

I just got back from a week long Christmas Vacation. It started off with Christmas Eve dinner were my mom made her famous Festival Chicken for 30 + people.
Then Christmas morning we got the surprise news that I shared below. Thursday, we helped Ron move his furniture into my mom’s place. On Friday I drove to Indianapolis for Ignite
.Then I drove back to Akron the next day for worship band practice with my brothers at My mom’s church. We led worship the next morning at Grace Summit.
The next day my Mom and Ron got married! 
Now we are back and getting into the routine, although I did take Jaden sledding for the first time ever today. He loved it. Overall it was a good break, but we are glad to be back sleeping in our own beds. Every we leave home we miss our “other” family at Riv.

So our family is now entering the world of pink pajamas, playing “house”, and the prospect of attending dance recitals as much as we’ll be going to soccer games. Yes, that’s right, we are having a girl.
Do you have any good ideas for names?

Tonight as Suz and I were tucking Jaden in, he prayed this:
“God I just pray that Daddy would sleep really good tonight and that he would eat healthy foods and not a lot of junk food, but he would eat healthy foods and then after rest time he can have a popsicle. Amen. “
